You're going by one of those 'everybody I know thinks....' polls.
Fewer people were fed up in the last two elections, by definition/vote totals.

Yeah that surprised me too. Reagan beat Carter with slightly less than 51% of the vote.
If Hillary does win, I think it will be by a large enough margin to do 'down ticket 'damage to Republicans.
McConnell came out and said as much by indicating that GOP Senators in vulnerable States can 'split from Trump' :

Your making too many negative assumptions about a Hillary first term to conclude she'll be one and done. Simply no way to know.
