Correction. It was 60% not 90%.
40 year-old male
• Restrained driver of a car that rear-ended a
truck at a moderate speed
• Car exploded
• Front end of car trapped underneath truck
• Patient required extrication
• Initially speaking at the scene (GCS 15)
• Moving only upper extremities
• Blood emanating from mouth and right ear
