I get that you find it to be a 'hard comparison'.
it's called cognitive dissonance when ones beliefs conflict with facts and comparisons that never occurred to you.
The different scale of the deaths under a SOS VS those that occurred under a president is not hard to comprehend, it's just hard for some to accept/assign the greater responsibility.
