Actually if Trump had just put most of the money in index funds and tax free funds his returns would have been spectacular and his taxes 'reasonably' low, considering the time frame.

He would have done spectacularly during the Clinton Stock market, averaged down nicely in the dot.com crash and throughout the Bush years, and then cleaned up over the past 7 years of the 'Obama Market'!
