IM0: They should have already begun reducing shares when the pps started dropping below a penny even if only a few million shares per trading session. If pps goes up with 100 million shares purchased in a week that's the whole idea reversing the trend down. Stock management is in best interest to company in case they need also to sell a few to make a deal it won't be at such ridiculously give away pps. This stock should never have gotten into sub penny territory with all that's going on. There are times when the company needs to step in to protect pps in their best interest as well as shareholder.
