Liberty Global ($LBTYA) and Vodafone ($VOD) announced a deal to merge their Dutch operations through a 50:50 joint venture. Vodafone is to make a cash payment of 1 billion euro to Liberty Global to equalize ownership in the joint venture. Liberty Global also announced fourth quarter results, reporting revenues of $18.3 billion, representing 3 percent rebased growth.
