Not at all, read my post again.
I was challenging the assertion that "Progressivism is misguided idealism leading to death and disparity", and using the example of the period from 9/11 through the financial crisis as evidence that whatever the opposite of 'Progressivism' is, it was not able to prevent death and lessen disparity, much less help to avoid the catastrophic miscalculation that Iraq was nor avoid the financial collapse.
If you think I'm too hard on Republicans for both of those than tell me what you would say about a Gore Administration that unfolded EXACTLY as the Bush Administration did. I've said it before, impeachment would have been be in the air....continually.
As for 9/11 I'm no harder on Republicans/GWB than is Trump, justifiably IMO
