Let's start with the fact that the military attract disproportionately conservative people. That said, I doubt very many Black or Hispanic troops do not respect their Commander in Chief.

Then again, I'll bet most troops and their families were thrilled with, really respected, the 'stop loss' multiple deployments during the Bush years. Pretty sure there were some 'WTF's' when no WMD's turned up. AND when the coffins arrived at Dover.

And what's to disrespect about the orders to kill the Captain Phillip's pirates and the bin Laden mission, or the Drone strikes and the Special Ops that fill up uniforms with medals and ribbons that make careers?

In order to be conservative you have to overlook a LOT of facts and take 'leave' of the reality based world.

Those who only respect being sent into wars we shouldn't fight have their own special problems.

Yeah Rumsfeld was a secret Democrat, sending troops into battle with so little armor that families were ponying up private funds to arm their soldier.

Yes, it's secret democrats who signed the PNAC document that plotted the invasion of Iraq before Bush was elected.

Yes, it was definitely Democrats who had no plans for what to do after the initial invasion.

And it was a Democrat who signaled "mission accomplished" and then pulled troops out of Saudi Arabia while the war was hot (just like bin Laden demanded.)
