President doesn't set wages for private sector, period. You read what Wal-Mart does. Not sure why you're fine with that, but its a private company's decision, one of many such business to 'empower' its workers to avail themselves of Federal help.
As for 'suffering' inflicted over the past two administrations, Seriously? Show me some numbers.
