New Apple TV Ad Features HBO Now, ESPN, and More

Apple’s latest Apple TV ad declares “The Future of Television is Apps.” The short ad features top apps for the Apple TV, reflecting the purpose of each app: the HBO Now app turns into the iron throne from Game of Thrones while the grubHub app is an Apple TV shaped pizza box. This is Apple’s first commercial of the new year.
Apple continues to talk with networks as the company works towards providing its own streaming service for Apple TV users; however, content creators want to release as little control as possible. In the meantime, Apple is highlighting the great apps already available such as Gilt for shopping, Netflix, Showtime, and HBO Now for streaming, popular games such a Crossy Roads and Asphalt 8, as well as ESPN, and more.
The newest model of Apple TV starts from $149 for the 32 GB model. Watch the short commercial below.
