Yes, they took their money and are going to run AVXL now. However, AVXL's news really IS good -- if they are seeing improvements in Alzheimer's patients after only 5 weeks of treatment, and the improvement is dose-dependent as they say, it means that their drug is doing something. Given that NO drug now really does anything significant, it's huge news. The question is, will this hold up over time? Or, like all current drugs for it, does the effect wear off soon? AVXL still much, much riskier than CTIX.
