I don't think the bashers have managed to delay the progress of the current drug trials very much, although certainly there is some time that Leo and Menon have had to spend on the court case that could have been spent instead for the betterment of humanity developing more trials and applying for grants. I think the biggest effect has been financial and psychological on investors -- causing pain to longs, and getting some people to sell the stock on fear. Those people will lose out on the long-term gains. It's human nature, once-burned, DON'T go back into that stock no matter what.

If I were one of those basher people (I use the term loosely) I would be might worried about karma. Hopefully they will get theirs in a financial way rather than through illness -- I wouldn't with these diseases on anybody, even them.
