An interview was conducted last April, 2015 with the GM of the Glencore Kidd Mine with mininglifeonline.net. What was NOT divulged in the interview in early 2015 was that the 300 meters at the end of the 1400 meter horizontal drilling discussed in the article apparently showed Massive Sulphides. Glencore did, it seems, find exactly what they were looking for. Since then, security measures have been escalated at the mine site. The core shack is being guarded like Fort Knox. Guards cover all access points. All indications are they have found a new, exciting and mineable resource, maybe big enough to extend the Kidd mine life by decades??
You would think Glencore would be both forthcoming, and proud of this new find, so why all the ‘cloak & dagger’ routine?? The only logical conclusion I can come up with is they believe the deposit breaches adjacent properties owned by other companies, specifically Explor Resources!
I have confirmation that heavy equipment is moving onto Explor’s property, directly adjacent to the Glencore Kidd mine site TODAY. This will provide proper access & prepare the selected targets for formal drilling. I suspect this move may catch the attention of Glencore’s management? It will be very interesting to watch how this all plays out over the next couple of weeks, as Explor’s work on the site advances.
So, not only does Explor have a potential multi million ounce gold resource, they could very well be sitting on a multi billion dollar base metals resource!!
