I am completely dumbstruck at the idea that Rosen's attorneys could fully admit that their initial complaint was based completely on "The truth" that was exposed in the Mako piece. "Empty office" LIE "unviable science" LIE. It is very scary for those hoping for a cure as their life hangs in the balance, to realize that a drug that could cure them might be delayed while a hedge fund tries to squeeze profits from legitimate investors. Literally Rosen is using the "I read it on the internet it must be true" argument. Something needs to be done. Apparently the problem has been around for quite some time.
"In 1770 the Irish statesman and philosopher Edmund Burke wrote about the need for good men to associate to oppose the cabals of bad men. The second sentence in the excerpt below is listed in multiple quotation references and shares some points of similarity to the saying under investigation, bit it is clearly dissimilar [EBG]:"
"No man, who is not inflamed by vain-glory into enthusiasm, can flatter himself that his single, unsupported, desultory, unsystematic endeavours are of power to defeat the subtle designs and united Cabals of ambitious citizens. When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle."
