unfortunately I'm still a little confused on record date and Distribution Date. so if someone owned shares on the record date which was November 30th I hear some people saying that if they sold before the distribution date of February 28th they're also selling their rights of the shares of the new company so are they selling it to the person that buys it? so does that means if I buy before the distribution date am I getting more shares of the new company? if not who will get the shares of everyone that sold between November 30th and February 28th does the company keep the shares of the new company?
