I agree with the first part of your post but differ on the second part if you are referring to the overall stock market conditions.
It is never a bad time, in my opinion, to announce news based on overall market conditions especially when this stock had been going down while the market has gone up the past few years. Plus the overall market should see at least a bounce early this week with the indexes at or near oversold levels. Currently the Relative Strength Index(RSI 14) on the SPY daily chart is at 28. Second lowest level in over a year, it was lower with the August 2014 drop.
It's not like AMBS is a big board stock(yet) that will follow the indexes up or down. Bring on the good news you continue to speak of GC!!
