If I added the words non-public incorrectly, it would be because BK stated his opinion came from CTIX sources. If it was public knowledge, he would have cited the facts as from a PR or at least said he thought it came from a PR but couldn't recall specifically.
Of course the lawyers sold. Whether they are sharks or not, as BooDog mentioned, they would sell. That was their fee. And a lucrative one. And it would be lawful for them to do so. Can you imagine a law that would consider an attorney selling shares they earned from a fee as insider trading? If that were so, the attorney would be forced to hold those shares until a buyout. Untenable.
