Ah, that's where we differ. I don't think that tells us anything about naked short positions. What it MIGHT give us is a reading on what "they" are doing in the day -- shorting again or covering/buying.
To me that day when 70% of the FINRA volume was short, indicated "suspicious activity." And now when the percentages seem to be around 30 or less, it indicates to me that the shorting pressure may be alleviating.
Or not. We need to watch it over time to see.
