For the OTC markets, message boards are the easiest way for investors to learn about the company.  Therefore, if folks on the boards are reading posts that create doubt, their opinion of the stock might be skewed.  People understand the risks involved with OTC stocks so they want to avoid any stocks that are being negatively portrayed.  The negative campaign is successful, because most everyone interested in investing in a Pinksheet or other OTC stock will read a message board to learn more about the company since the small companies have limited info available on the web, therefore there are a lot of eyes on what is being said.  Doubt is easy to create and difficult to overcome in the Pinksheets/OTC's.  Sadly, ihub is one of the sites everyone uses, even though the site itself is widely known to allow corruption and manipulation.
