Great article, thanks. So much in this sounds just like the CTIX story, like the company buying its eventual blockbuster drug for only a few million bucks, the CEO saving the company with his own money, etc.
Here's where CTIX is different -- what was true for PCYC is NOT true for CTIX which has three promising drugs in its pipeline, for 4 different applications (so far).
PCYC:
It was so fortunate that their cheap-purchase drug worked -- otherwise it would have been just another failed small biotech. Instead, their junk-heap purchase is saving lives and made fortunes.
