One needs to understand this before they attempt to discredit clearer Resolution at Lower megabytes on a 4K Smart television.
NTEK has definitely reduced band width Lower to perfect a better Picture Resolution.
This has already been proven when playing a movie from UltraFlix.
What seems to be the problem with Your TV?
What is the problem with Your understanding of the inner workings of Streaming 4K UHD video at lower Byte Rates?
UltraFlix has perfected it and nobody else can get it right at Higher MegaBytes.
Cost is a Fortune.
That is the reason that Pay for View Movie companies will be changing over to the same technology that UltraFlix is using to reduce cost and get a better Picture at the same time.
