I get what your saying but the cause for optimism is it the letter from the FAA's acknowledgment that slides are a known concern they are investigating? Is there no other positives that came from it? Did they make any mention of thoughts on legal action to get an answer, or why they didn't decide to scrap mini 7 and give another go with an 8th attempt? If this is the championship round what punches to they intend to throw?
