(As my previous post indicates, I work in the TV business, so I know a few things about TVs...less than some people, but more than the average Joe anyway...).
Regarding Samsung premium TVs.
1) Price: as with most things in life, you pay more for better products. JS9500 series is Samsung's top tier. Expensive: yes. Better quality than most other 4K TVs: yes.
2) The one connect box is a brilliant feature. It allows the actual hardware of the TV to be upgraded in the future. There has already been one change to the main codec used for 4K (HEVC) and potentially more changes in the future. Changes to codecs can mean compatibility problems. Specifically: it can mean that an old TV might not even play the newer content. With the One Connect box, that problem is solved. Buy a new box in the future and you are good to go. It basically makes the TV 'future proof'. Pretty cool. Definitely not a negative feature.
