They would be naive to think that, if they would really care about our perceptions.
That "1000 titles on UF" could very well be a thing of Jeff. They used to exaggerate that number before, at the time I was bullied away from the great DD board, about 9 months ago, when numbers like 600 hrs where lavishly used, while there were actually less than half of that. When Riordan came to be CEO, they changed that to "several hundreds of hours", maybe because I told them the numbers they used in their PR's were unrealistic. Now they are back at it.
Anyway, it's not that important anymore, since they have added a respectable number of movies since the early days. And I guess those that will bring in the revenue won't start counting to find out.
It's become just a little, insignificant white lie.
