It is the intent to capture the public into buying the product, but, what move a company forward is earnings and you have to keep them coming back.
Now as far as what is on the can, different strokes for different folks. many people are offended by the leaf and in order to please the distributor you havb=e to comply with their wishes or they won't market your product.
