Another update:
"The system is live in Africa, however, it is residing at at static IP address and has not yet been moved to the domain. They told us there is still work they need to do to enable some of the plug-ins such as Facebook.
I believe this has proven to be significantly more challenging for them than they planned for, which is why the launch isn't going as they stated. PR announcing the system is now scheduled for Monday 12/21."
