EMC ($EMC) announced that the ‘go shop’ period described in the definitive Dell and EMC merger agreement announced on October 12th, 2015 has expired and that no new acquisition proposal was received during the period. The company now expects the deal to close between May and October 2016, subject to required regulatory approval and approval by its shareholders.
