My answer to a similar question on "the other board" was deleted.
But to simplify what I said:
I didn't hear anything from Investor Relations about that, however it doesn't mean it did not occur. I currently know that some of their employees are temporarily working part-time, so they are not all working a 40 hour week. I'm not saying any of the board members have reduced their hours as well and are not busting their butts. I'm referring to some employees from different departments.
I'm not saying Baltia did cut the stewardesses. I know they have cut back hours on some Investor Relations employees (not fired, just reduced hours), so I would not be surprised if Baltia decided it would be best to expand the employee base they would want to temporarily take off payroll that are not necessarily vital to the process at this moment.
If anything, Baltia most definitely has an agreement with the stewardesses to "re-hire" them as soon as they are able to be up in the air. Again, not saying they got the boot for no apparent reason. it's just common sense. There's a difference between being fired and just temporarily being taken off the payroll. It's a smart business move on Baltia to temporarily save money if in fact they went through with it. It sucks those stewardesses wouldn't get paid while they wait for the inaugural flights, but Baltia isn't just firing them saying "Dasvidaniya! See you never."
