The R/S split hurt AVXL for about an hour; then the next morning the CEO PR'd the news that the company would present at a major conference. That kind of sent it off to the races and the pumpers really took over.
Only way a R/S wouldn't crush CTIX is if it was accompanied by partnership or some major invest buying a lot of shares. But like you said somewhere else, if that was going to happen the company wouldn't need a R/S to begin with.
