Guess it's just the small-timers who have closed their shorts and gone long.
It's possible someone wants to accumulate at bargain prices and is doing this to discourage shareholders into selling the next time the stock takes another leg up.
That's what I'd do if I wanted to accumulate a big position, had the connections to manipulate bid/ask, and were a criminal.
Hope you saw my post about how my bid disappeared from the streamer, so that they could show a bid of 1.72 instead of my real bid of 1.74. Anyone looking at the closing bid/ask will think that the spread was much wider than it really was.
