ChenTom, If you hear "sounds" but do not understand words, you are much like me. I hear speaking sounds but not the actual words . I don't understand them. I am a career musician (now in my 80s) and have no problem hearing "sounds" (such as music or a gun shot). My answer that works well for me is a TV headset. Better than hearing aids (IMO) because it places the voices directly into my ears, and I enjoy TV easily. True,if the TV characters speak with slang or rush their lines my brain can miss parts. Still much better than trying to read, esp. when text moves quickly and (at times) lost in a white sceen.
Have you tried headsets? Radio Shack? Best to you, evergo
