Have you ever heard of the saying, "you're pissing into the wind"? It's not a matter of convincing those types of the truth, they already know it but simply don't care and take joy in making you mad. Engaging those types only empowers them and gives them recognition where as silence makes them irrelevant. Just sayin'.
