It's hard to say this was a scam from the start. There's conflicting information about the revenues, mines, and if CRGP deliberately exploited the dividend. We also don't know what COR and its affiliates planned as well.
What we do know is that when COR filed the lawsuit, which likely prompted a FINRA halt given the claims they made against the dividend, they effectively set in motion the events that lead to CRGP'S demise. CRGP contributed by offering no defense and disappearing with whatever assets that remained.
