MuGard was mentioned in the Seeking Alpha short article today as an alternative to Brilacidin-OM. Patients say that they are "moderately satisfied" with MuGard, giving it a 3.1 out of 5 rating. And, there are severe allergic reactions posted here -- including people with hives etc. and someone who says he suddenly started throwing up every time he used it.

MuGard's website says not to use it if you're allergic to any ingredients, but it sure isn't easy to find the list of ingredients. I haven't found it yet.
By the way, Brilacidin-OM has no significant side effects that we know of so far.
