You're correct in saying that the Menon degree stuff is a total non-issue. The error had been corrected long before the time in question, and no reasonable person would have relied on ancient difficult-to-find data in making an investment decision. In fact, the Mako claims about that error which the company corrected years before, go toward proving Mako's "actual malice" which is an important part of libel suits.
