You're right kbulldog, Interstellar was a "recent" release. It was released to theaters on November 7, 2014 and then to UltraFlix at the beginning of April 2015. But with the exception of that there was nothing and you'll recall, while Interstellar had a limited run UltraFlix continued to build the subscriber base and is growing at an exponential rate according to Jeff Foley.
In addition, nflx built and their business on movies that were typically a year old plus. UltraFlix is in a market where 4K panels and device sales are growing faster than even the experts can predict. They get it wrong and have to revise those estimates to the up-side again, again and again. So to say UltraFlix can't build and sustain a similar yet better mousetrap is probably not a good bet to make, certainly one many of us here are betting against .
Getting back to Interstellar and recent release films on UltraFlix. I expect that will be the norm as we move forward. But I also believe we'll start seeing same day release to theater films coming to UltraFlix and of course Live events and television.
As for the proxy, who cares, NTEK is going to do what NTEK wants to do. All I know is, the guys running NTEK have a ton of shares that they hold as individuals. Are they buying now? No, they can't they aren't allowed, not while there are undisclosed material changes to the company, ie deals, etc. Those insiders own those shares at much higher prices than today's close. Are they selling, I don't know but I know Al Stone said he isn't. So what does that mean to me? Simple, it means I'm still buying and will continue to buy for the foreseeable future.
