The original "Article 1" began with "I am an American Fighting Man. I serve in the forces which protect my country and its way of life. I am prepared to give my life in its defense".
changed to G Neutral
I AM AN AMERICAN, FIGHTING IN THE FORCES WHICH GUARD MY COUNTRY AND OUR WAY OF LIFE. I AM PREPARED TO GIVE MY LIFE IN THEIR DEFENSE.
