Hi Janice,
You are 100% correct, etrade corporate action team are bunch of incompetent people
I have been calling them and e mailing them almost on weekly basis and the story changes all the time.
My main concern right now is the 1099 that they plan on sending out. In the last few times that I called I asked them about the 1099 and they say they plan on sending the 1099 even if the matter hasn't been resolved and the dividend is still on hold.
I told them that I will fight with them and ask the IRS to issue a ruling on this case but they don't seem to care.
I really don't understand/agree how they can issue us 1099 for funds we don't have access to
Anyone else asked etrade about the 1099?
Right now the only item we have control of with etrade is the 1099.
Any input/thoughts will be highly appreciated
