prices wont re-adjust for a public sell off 0003 is 0003. which means is they had 1 million shares on friday they had 90 dollars. now they have 30 dollars.
imagine that before they anouced the company was trying to offer them 95$ dollars for there 1 million shares but they said no we want 180 dollars.
before they were sitting on that position of 90 dollars public opinion was good
they watched the stock trade basically sideways for weeks knowing that the public knew the company had good news.
they felt comfortable sitting on there 90 dollars or whatever because they knew
now the public was given potentially bad news
there position is now worth 30 instead of 90
that 95$ that the company origionally offered looks pretty good now.
