As recently as October 26th of this year, volcanic ash and vapors could be seen spewing out of Costa Rica’s Turrialba volcano. Located less than 50km from San Jose, the geothermal activity around Costa Rica is quite extensive. Two volcanoes heating up Caribbean travel, in particular, is the Rincon de la Vieja and Costa Rica’s famous and very active, Turrialba volcano.
