Sox, I think you were the one who posted about how ridiculous the claim was, that uplisting would prevent short attacks.
Anyone who thinks uplisting is the magic cure should look at AVXL, from 14 down to 8 on the basis of a tweet by notorious short seller Shkreli (yep, the same one who raised the price of a 50-year-old drug from 13.50 to $750) -- and in the tweet, where he said "the drug can't work" he then revealed that he didn't even understand what the mechanism of action is.
People are stupid. I will say, it wasn't just Shkreli (who I think of as Shrek-li), but also in large part because the several pumper/dumper groups that were so active on the other site probably all dumped at the same time, using that as their signal. Some of the "beloved" CTIX posters who were pumping AVXL wildly were notable by their absence.
There are a lot of dishonest people out there, and just because some of them are small traders doesn't mean they aren't crooks or at any rate, wannabe crooks.
