The quarterly numbers are much easier for the company to control than an audit. Yet, we are projecting those numbers to come in 45 days after the quarter ended. That will be halfway through the current quarter. Let me go out on a limb and say that those numbers are probably less than the company expected, or thinks investors expect. I could be WAY off base, but my experience is that good news kicks the door down and not-so-good news comes dragging in late. As companies mature, they learn to live with the numbers, which are what they are, and they come out like clockwork; good, bad, or indifferent!
