You are correct on how they did the revision change. It changes a lot of things. Remember, the FAA is nothing more than a policy makers and enforcer.

This is how I see it with this change. The issue is way too big for FAA to enforce, so they are backing off on the slide problems, and will tackle the issue over time. As of now...FAA feels that they are way over their head in terms of how to handle it. Because they know that it will lead to an industry wide shutdown. Thus the removal of "FAA-Approved."

This, I believe, it means that Baltia is going to get the pass. Baltia is aware of the problem, and so are the FAA. FAA acknowledge that the problem is very big to handle in short term.

FAA isn't going to let this go, but it does not mean Baltia is off the hook...the entire industry isn't off the hook. It just means that FAA needs to take a very much closer look at this and can't put the entire industry on ground while they figure this out.
