The Boeing 747 was built with the knowledge at that time that some of the slides could fail.....not the new, manufactured ones, but rather the re-packed ones.
More importantly, the FAA was informed of this by Boeing in the very beginning and the FAA certified and approved the 747 accordingly and with this knowledge.
So if the staff performed their tasks to perfection, and a slide malfunctioned as was to be expected and was accepted by the FAA when they approved the 747, could this mean that Baltia actually passed a hell of a lot more minis than anyone has given them credit for?
