Some people like the attention of being acknowledged for having information; I can definitely understand why he would post news for shareholders, positive or negative. It places him as the center of attention; he obviously feeds off of that.

I still have no idea if what he's saying is true; some of what he says has been verified, but the rest is impossible to know without him divulging his sources.
