I didn't say they were not incompitent, I just don't think they should be stuck with paying the $4M, nor do I think we should be held responsible. How a clearing firm can't determine whether a stock is a scam or not should be a reason they should not be in business.

How we as shareholders can be more diligent than the clearing firm is beyond me. The average retail shareholder does not have the tools of a clearing firm at their disposal, which is why I think there should be no reverse of the dividend.
