This just in: a 767 at FLL had it's left engine catch fire while taxiing for departure. "3 of 4" slides deployed." It doesn't specify if one failed, but that's my guess. The 767 is normally configured with 6 slides-3 on each side. We shouldn't jump to conclusions.
