Lots of names that are very familiar to CTIX message board readers are also posting on the AVXLD board. Remember the moderator who posted "I'm all in" and all the idiots were slobbering "well if YOU'RE in it must be a good stock"? 
A handful of people moving their entire large position back and forth between the stocks really can move them in times of low volume (like those much-less-than-100k days we've seen very recently with CTIX). And until fairly recently, AVXLD was often low volume too.
Both stocks could be like JAZZ, which went from 20 cents to over 180 dollars in just a few years. I have a decent-sized position in AVXLD although I have a lot more in CTIX.
