Movie Studios like to move in a pack to not miss out on trending dollars. One gets a hot script, it gets leaked to the other studios. The studios all scrounge around in their archives, drum up writers and new scripts and suddenly they all have a different movie coming out in the same genre.
One makes a move to VHS, they all do. 20th Century Fox/The Sound of Music was First.
One goes to DVD, they all do. Warner/Universal/Twister was first.
They all know to a degree what the others are doing. They see Paramount made this 4K deal. A deal that gets their entire library ready for the coming 4K wave.
Right now most 4K is a pay per view , just the way studios like.
Studios don't want to miss out on a single ppv.
Will the studios stay true to form and follow the leader?
I think yes.
NTEK is in prime position.
