Just so you know, the 50 day moving average, in and of itself is the least accurate moving average out there. Moving averages cannot be used in isolation. Overall the accuracy of any moving average technical indicator is not impressive simply because the information you are looking at today occurred 50 days prior. When you look at a chart you can easily pick out the buy and sell points but as the chart was developing, the signals do not clearly show themselves because you must wait the moving average period for the trend to develop. Think of it as driving a car forward while looking in the rear view mirror.
